What we do
History
CWC members transform lives each day, not simply with monetary donations, but with hands-on tangible projects that provide immediate impact to the community in which they live and work. Using a grassroots approach where we act locally and impact globally, our members touch the Pajaro Valley community, the state, country, and nations abroad.
Since 1920 CWC members have been transforming lives every day. From the early days of a group of women coming together to obtain a Home Demonstrator for the county to folding bandages and baking cakes for the Soldiers Clubs during World War II, to financing and building a clubhouse in the 1950’s to raising tens of thousands of dollars to meet the growing social service and welfare needs both locally and internationally.

in the spotlight - Watsonville Public Library
Alicia Martinez, Director of the Watsonville Public LIbrary, addressed the Club on the many activities available (for free!) at the Library. Designated as the recipient of our Penny Welfare project funds this year, the Club aims to provide new picture books for young children.
